Hitika Vasal, the Guna Police are carrying out a series of swift and decisive actions to dismantle the networks of traders, mafias, and smugglers involved in the illegal narcotics trade across the district. Continuing this campaign, and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police (Guna), Shri Mansingh Thakur, and the supervision of City Superintendent of Police (Guna), Smt. Priyanka Mishra, the Bajranggarh Police\u2014within their jurisdiction\u2014executed a major operation today against the illegal narcotic substance, Ganja. During this operation, 105 lush green Ganja plants were seized from a field in Sirsikhurd village, located within the police station’s jurisdiction. The seized Ganja plants weighed a total of 17.294 kilograms, with an estimated market value assessed at \u20b91.50 Lakh.<\/p>\n

According to the information received, on April 1, 2026, the Bajranggarh Police received a specific tip-off from a confidential informant stating that Jagdish Dhakad had cultivated a large quantity of Ganja plants in his field in Sirsikhurd village and was planning to harvest and sell them. Upon receiving precise intelligence regarding the cultivation of cannabis within the police station’s jurisdiction, Sub-Inspector Kripal Singh Parihar\u2014the Station In-charge of Bajranggarh Police Station\u2014immediately proceeded to the village of Sirsikhurd accompanied by his team. Upon reaching the field identified by the informant, they observed a large number of cannabis plants standing in the field, with a single individual seen tending to them. Upon spotting the police, the individual attempted to flee the scene on foot. The police force gave chase and, after a considerable pursuit, managed to apprehend him with difficulty. During interrogation, the individual identified himself as Jagdish, son of Hari Singh Dhakad, aged 44, a resident of Sirsikhurd village, under the jurisdiction of Bajranggarh Police Station. Subsequently, the police team uprooted all the cannabis plants from the site; upon counting and weighing them, the total number of plants was found to be 100, with a combined weight of 17.294 kilograms. The estimated market value of the seized cannabis has been assessed at approximately \u20b91.50 lakh. The police formally seized the recovered cannabis plants and arrested the accused, Jagdish Dhakad. A case has been registered against him at the Bajranggarh Police Station under Crime No. 31\/26, pursuant to Section 8\/20 of the NDPS Act, and the matter has been taken up for investigation.
