Priyanka Yadav, a 24-year-old woman from Richhai village in the Miyana police station area of Guna district, has died under suspicious circumstances. According to her family, she was taken to the district hospital after consuming a poisonous substance, where she passed away during treatment. Her maternal family has accused her in-laws of harassment and conspiring to administer the poison.
Her relatives state that Priyanka had been subjected to constant harassment since her marriage. It is alleged that she was even prevented from visiting her maternal home for her brother’s wedding. Following the incident, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials stated that further legal action would be taken based on the post-mortem report and the findings of the investigation.
