Guna: While the government continues to promote its anti-drug campaign across Madhya Pradesh, residents in Guna have raised serious concerns over a liquor shop operating near Pashupatinath Temple, a Gurdwara, Arya Samaj School, and Excellence School at the busy Jay Stambh Square. Locals allege that people openly consume alcohol outside the shop, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for students, devotees, women, and commuters.
Citizens say such scenes contradict the spirit of the state’s anti-drug drive and have urged the district administration and Excise Department to investigate whether the outlet complies with applicable rules. They have also demanded strict action against public drinking and appropriate measures to maintain law and order in the area.
