Hospital Makes Sick Child’s Helpless Mother Mop the Floor in Damoh!
55 Sanitation Workers Employed at Government Hospital, Lakhs Spent on Their Salaries Every Month — Yet a Patient’s Mother Was Forced to Clean the Floor
DAMOH, MADHYA PRADESH | DWARKA NEWS
In a shocking incident raising serious questions about hospital management and basic patient care, the mother of a sick child was made to mop the floor at a government hospital in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh.
The incident has sparked concerns over the functioning of the hospital’s sanitation system. According to the information available, the hospital employs around 55 sanitation workers, with lakhs of rupees reportedly spent on their salaries every month. Despite this workforce, the responsibility of cleaning the floor allegedly fell on the mother of a sick child, who was already struggling to care for her ailing child.
The incident raises a pressing question: If a government hospital has dozens of sanitation workers on its payroll, why was a patient’s helpless mother made to do their job?
Government hospitals are expected to provide clean, safe and dignified care to patients and their families. Such an incident, if confirmed, demands an explanation from the hospital administration and a review of sanitation arrangements.
