Guna | In a devastating incident on Wednesday night, a farmer’s entire year’s worth of hard work was reduced to ashes in a massive fire that swept through Khejra Rama Gram Panchayat, located within the Chachoda Tehsil of the district. According to reports, a fire suddenly broke out around 8:30 PM—due to unknown causes—in the field of Mishrilal Lodha, a farmer residing in Khejra Rama village. The blaze engulfed approximately 7 bighas of harvested mustard crop that had been stacked in the field. In a matter of moments, the fire intensified so rapidly that before the villagers could even comprehend the situation, the entire crop had been transformed into a heap of ash.
This tragedy has brought a mountain of sorrow crashing down upon the affected farming family, leaving the relatives in a state of inconsolable grief. The destruction of the farmer’s hard-earned produce—the fruit of his blood, sweat, and tears—right before his very eyes has cast a pall of gloom over the entire region. Villagers have appealed to the administration to conduct an immediate assessment of the damage and provide financial compensation to the affected farmer, thereby helping the family recover from this immense economic loss.
