A 19-year-old girl was abducted and gang-raped by 3 youths in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand.
Police arrived to arrest them; the accused fired in retaliation and cops shot one in the leg and arrested all three.
Next day, during crime scene recreation, two of them fled custody — but were caught and beaten by Hindu groups.
