Bengaluru: Former MP Prajwal Revanna, who is serving a life sentence in a rape case, is facing fresh trouble after an Android mobile phone was reportedly recovered from his barrack at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison during a Central Crime Branch raid. Reports claim the phone contained around 80–90 obscene videos, along with objectionable photographs of women and newspaper clippings. A pen drive and charger were also reportedly recovered. The incident has raised serious questions over prison security and how a prohibited mobile phone reached the barrack. Authorities are investigating the matter and examining the digital material recovered from the phone. Revanna was sentenced to life imprisonment in August 2025.
