Child Thrown from Mickey Mouse Inflatable Ride Amidst Strong Winds; Critical After Falling onto Stones

A major accident occurred on Sunday at the famous Bis Bhuja Devi Temple fair, located within the Bajranggarh police station area of the district. While riding on a “Mickey Mouse” inflatable bouncy castle, an innocent child was suddenly thrown off balance by a gust of strong wind; he fell onto the stones below and became trapped beneath the debris. The child sustained severe head injuries in this accident, and his condition remains critical. Meanwhile, two other children also sustained minor injuries.
The injured child has been identified as Ashutosh (7 years old), son of Narendra Sharma, a resident of Shadora in the Ashoknagar district. According to reports, Ashutosh had come to the fair with his mother, Sangita Sharma, and other family members to offer prayers at the Bis Bhuja Devi temple. After the prayers, he was enjoying the Mickey Mouse inflatable ride in the fairground when the weather suddenly changed and strong winds began to blow. Due to the force of the wind, the inflatable structure became unstable, and the child was flung directly onto the stones lying beneath it. With a choked voice, his mother, Sangita Sharma, recounted that the accident happened so suddenly that no one had a chance to react or intervene. The injured child was rushed to the District Hospital, where, given his critical condition, he has been admitted to the Critical Care Unit. Questions are once again being raised regarding the safety arrangements at the fair. Eyewitnesses suggest that had the inflatable ride been properly anchored to the ground, this accident—triggered by the gusting winds—might have been averted. The police are currently investigating the matter.
